The Hungarian 2024 Olympic Bid Has Been Approved
The Proposed venues for the 2024 Olympic bid has been approved by the Budapest Council.
Approval was given with 21 votes in favor, 1 against and 9 abstentions.
There will be two venues made up of seven clusters:
- Danube area consisting of Margaret Island, the Olympic Park and Óbuda Island.
- Second venue incorporating Heroes’ Square, Puskás Ferenc Stadium, Fair Centre and Népliget.
Budapest will face stiff competition from Los Angeles, Rome, and Paris, who will all compete for the bid.
